FSC is a family business with 25 years of award winning experience in creating, rolling out and managing bespoke customer food-on-the-move solutions. Our customers include a selection of blue-chip companies in various industries. We offer a range of consultancy services drawing on our in depth knowledge of the food-on-the-move sector. Our Head Office is located in the world famous village of Cheddar and, although many of the team are based throughout the UK and Europe, we regularly gather together to review performance, share best practice.
The role will involve:
Supporting the Development Chefs in creating and perfecting new recipes. Freedom to be creative – see one of your creations on high street shelves!
Assisting with ordering ingredients based on customer’s specifications, (online, supplier and on-site grocery shopping). Assist with product focus groups and tasting meetings. General maintenance of the development kitchen, such as general cleaning, temperature control, stock control and maintenance.
Perform any other duties and objectives as required from time to time in order to contribute effectively to the achievement of the business aims and objectives. The number of hours per week will vary depending on business requirements, and the successful candidate must be able to work the hours and days each week requires.
The Necessary Skills:
- Keen interest in food
- Solid Chef ‘Trade’ skills
- Appropriate catering/food hygiene qualifications
- Computer literate
- Creative/Innovative personality
- Clean UK driving License
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivated, have the ability to take leadership when manager is not in the office
- Pro-active approach to workload
- Willing to learn through self-development
- Following recipes from detailed specifications
- A team player

The successful candidate will be a competent chef and good all-rounder with an interest in all kinds of cuisine and disciplines.
